The TIME2520 Bluetooth Digital Coating Thickness Gauge is a professional smart instrument designed for accurate, non-destructive measurement of paint, powder coatings and protective finishes on ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates. Combining magnetic induction and eddy current measurement technologies with wireless smartphone connectivity, the TIME2520 provides an advanced solution for industrial coating inspection and quality control.
The magnetic induction (F) measurement method allows the instrument to measure non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates such as steel and iron, while the eddy current (N) method measures non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper.
With a measurement range of 0–1500 µm on ferrous substrates and 0–700 µm on non-ferrous substrates, the TIME2520 delivers high-resolution coating thickness measurements with an accuracy of ±(1%H + 1 µm). Zero-point and multi-point calibration functions support reliable measurement across different coating thicknesses and substrate materials.
The compact smart probe features a detachable V-groove positioning terminal, allowing accurate positioning on small-diameter components such as shafts, tubes and round bars. The detachable design also supports measurement in confined spaces and provides flexibility when inspecting components of different shapes and sizes.
Through its dedicated smartphone application, the TIME2520 provides wireless measurement monitoring, configurable tolerance alarms, statistical analysis and extensive data storage. Users can review maximum, minimum, average and variance values to assess coating consistency and support inspection documentation.
Designed for efficient industrial inspections, the TIME2520 supports fast measurement rates exceeding 70 readings per minute and continuous measurement operation. USB Type-C charging, LED status indicators and a compact portable design make it suitable for workshop, manufacturing and on-site coating inspections.
